September 11, 2001, became a pivotal moment in our nation’s history, marked by profound loss, extraordinary service, and enduring strength. Twenty five years later, we remember all those who lost their lives in the attacks, the families and communities forever changed, and all those who answered the call to respond and rebuild.
M.C. Dean’s connection to this history is rooted in our work at the Pentagon. Our teams were already supporting critical infrastructure and renovation work when the attack occurred. In the aftermath, they quickly shifted to support recovery and restoration efforts, helping restore damaged spaces and continue the broader Pentagon renovation.
“Our work began immediately with what we referred to as the ‘reclamation,’” said James Pattee, vice president of business development for Engineering & Construction. “This involved entering the Pentagon and restoring spaces that had been damaged as a result of the attack.”
