M.C. Dean joined partners Skanska, Perkins+Will, and the University of Virginia on Thursday, May 16 for the Virginia Institute of Autism (VIA) Charity Golf Event at the Spring Creek Golf Club in Gordonsville, Virginia. This was the firm’s fourth year as a platinum sponsor for the event.

VIA is dedicated to helping children and adults overcome the challenges of autism. They teach meaningful skills through state-wide events and services.

Owner representative Chris Hoy—senior construction administrator for UVA currently overseeing the school’s hospital expansion project—has been personally involved with VIA for years, and encouraged M.C. Dean employees to contribute to the organization’s cause. In addition to four years of the Charity Golf Event, M.C. Dean employees have also volunteered with VIA to provide landscaping and storm clean up services.

Our team placed fourth this year on the golf course, but took home the prize for “Best Dressed.”
