M.C. Dean partnered with the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services (MCDSS) on Tuesday, December 18 to provide toys and clothing to more than 400 local children. Our local customers and other subcontractors also participated in the toy drive.

“M.C. Dean has always encouraged employees to give back to the communities where we work,” said Lance Smith, a leader on the project team. “The MCDSS toy drive is one of several meaningful and exciting initiatives we support to help our neighbors and invest in our local community.”

The MCDSS Christmas Program relies on support from local churches, businesses, and community members for its ongoing success. The 100 percent funding allows them to gift less fortunate children in Mecklenburg County with winter coats, pajamas, two full outfits, and educational toys. Employees from each company volunteered their time to deliver video games, Legos®, art sets, Easy Bake Ovens®, books, and action figures to MCDSS to brighten the children’s holiday season.
