M.C. Dean’s Internship Program gives early career professionals a dynamic and meaningful experience through hands-on work, mentorship, and real-world exposure to the engineering and technology industry.
From June to August, 98 interns took part in technical assignments, skill-building sessions, and cross-functional learning with professional leaders across our strategic business units (SBUs). In addition to their projects, interns participated in workshops, site visits, and networking opportunities to build connections and deepen their understanding of M.C. Dean’s mission and culture.
“Our program goes beyond just gaining experience, it’s about creating meaningful work, making a difference together, and leaving a lasting impact,” said Vanessa Fountaine, early career recruiting lead. “Offering a high-impact experience that is guided by industry best practices, shaped by intern feedback, and driven by continuous improvement reflects our strong commitment to developing the future experts and leaders of M.C. Dean.”
In July, the interns took a trip to our Modular Mission Critical™ (MMC) facility in Ruther Glen, Va for a behind-the-scenes look at modular design and delivery in action. This event offered a unique experience for interns to connect their work to the bigger picture.

Throughout the summer, interns took part in a series of personal and professional development sessions focused on building real-world skills and industry knowledge. They also had the chance to learn directly from M.C. Dean professionals through knowledge sessions.

For National Intern Day, interns local to Tysons, VA hit the lanes at Lucky Strike to celebrate their hard work with a fun, team-building outing.
