The Arlington County Sheriff’s Office (ASCO) along with M.C. Dean has signed an agreement to deploy the GUARDIAN RFID system at the Arlington County Detention Facility (ACDF).

The ACDF has an average daily population of 300 inmates and is renowned for being one of the most technically advanced direct supervision jails in the country. The sheriff’s office, in cooperation with M.C. Dean, has made a concerted effort to modernize its technology to create a safer, more secure environment for inmates and staff. M.C. Dean supported the ACDF in determining a final decision.

M.C. Dean will be maintaining the system, which provides real-time visibility and data on inmate and deputy activities. Automated data collection and reports will replace the manual paper-based process and allow ACDF sheriff deputies to quickly identify and address security concerns to protect the safety of inmates and the community at large.
