Sustainability Disclosures

Each year for the past seven years, M.C. Dean has recovered more than one million pounds of plastic, metal, batteries, wire, and light tubes for recycling. In 2019, we recycled 1.4 million pounds of materials. M.C. Dean does not currently track the amount of waste generated collectively at our manufacturing and project locations, only the amount of materials that are collected and recycled. At our ModularMEP® Manufacturing Facility, we centralize the prefabrication of modular assemblies and rooms, streamlining our use of tools and materials and enable us to reduce, reuse, and recycle. We are ISO9001 and follow all standards and lean practices.

M.C. Dean implements energy efficiency best practices into our facilities and in the projects we deliver. We have delivered 42 facilities rated LEED® Silver, Gold or Platinum by U.S. Green Building Council, the globally recognized sustainability rating system measuring green design and construction achievements. Our 2018 headquarters renovation was rated as LEED® Gold Certified for our innovative use of smart lighting and solar power. We achieved an exemplary rating for our tenant fit-out space despite the fact that the building itself does not meet any LEED design standards. Solar panels on the HQ rooftop and auto on/off lighting help us improve our energy consumption each year.
