M.C. Dean recently completed the historical renovation of the Baltimore Enoch Pratt Street Free Library. The company’s scope on the upgrade included electrical, audio-visual, fire alarm, and security systems and infrastructure for the central library.

The Enoch Library system of Baltimore, Maryland was established more than 130 years ago and encompasses more than 20 branches. Renovations to the central library created more public spaces, restored many original historical features, and improved creative learning spaces and programs. One of the teams’ most critical tasks was to develop an audiovisual platform capable of streaming between all branches. The successful integration of these systems allows all Enoch libraries to communicate and share consistent resources and webinars with the public.

“M.C. Dean helped the library preserve their past while positioning them to further serve the community in the future,” said Luigi Prezioso, vice president of Intelligent Building Systems. “These state-of-the-art renovations to the central library improve the building’s infrastructure and increase opportunities for learning, research, creativity, and civic engagement for upwards of half a million visitors every year.”
