M.C. Dean, a leader in cyber-physical solutions, has achieved Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 2050 certification for its San Jose office—a key designation for securing facilities that handle classified information. This achievement underscores the company’s role in supporting national defense infrastructure and its continued investment in the highest standards of physical security and compliance.

“Achieving UL 2050 certification is a significant milestone for our San Jose office,” said David Sealock, senior vice president of Security & Electronic Systems at M.C. Dean. “It demonstrates our commitment to national security standards and ensures our customers receive the highest level of service and compliance.”

UL 2050 is an industry-recognized certification developed in collaboration with U.S. federal security agencies. It defines rigorous standards for the design, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of alarm systems used to protect classified spaces such as Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and Closed Areas. The certification is awarded following an extensive audit by Underwriters Laboratories to verify that all technical, procedural, and personnel requirements are met.

With this designation, M.C. Dean is now authorized to deliver fully integrated, end-to-end security solutions—streamlining support for customers with classified operations. It also expands the company’s eligibility for federal and defense contracts that require UL 2050 compliance.

This milestone is a testament to the expertise and dedication of the M.C. Dean team. Through stringent evaluations and testing, the company has proven its readiness to support secure government and defense programs.
