M.C. Dean, Inc. Acquires DP Electronics & Jupiter Batteries
Dulles, Va., June 27, 2013 – On June 24, 2013, M.C. Dean, Inc., the nation's leading engineering and technology service firm for mission-critical systems and facilities, acquired Houston, Texas based DP Electronics (DPE) and its subsidiary, Jupiter Batteries.
Founded in 1988, DPE is a local leader in critical power protection. DPE provides system design, installation and maintenance services for the chemical, oil & gas, healthcare, technology, telecommunications, and education industries throughout the greater Houston area. Jupiter Batteries provides stored energy solutions, specializing in Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology for Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), Emergency Lighting Unit (ELU), Alarm, and Solar applications.
This acquisition of DPE and Jupiter Batteries includes over 40 maintenance contracts and over 90 active customers, including Exxon, BASF, MD Anderson Cancer Centers, and ConocoPhillips. M.C. Dean can now offer these customers more extensive capabilities and services, while maintaining the excellent customer support to which each is accustomed.
M.C. Dean already has a substantial presence in Texas having opened its first corporate office in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2007.
