M.C. Dean, Inc. in cooperation with the New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) now offers a 5-Year Electrical Apprenticeship Online Program from 2008 to 2013. The five year Internet-based program curriculum is based on the National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) Electrical Training Curriculum and covers the NCCER Core, NCCER Level 1-4 Electrical, and Journeyman Preparation.
This program is to provide M.C. Dean, Inc. Apprentices with an opportunity to learn the electrical curriculum with unparalleled training, and little disruption during required business travel and/or relocation.
- Year 1 curriculum is based on NCCER’s Core and Level 1 Electrical and will be available online in September 2008
- Year 2-4 curriculum is based on NCCER’s Electrical Level 2-4 and Journeyman Preparation courses anticipated to be available online in September 2009
- Year 5 curriculum is under development and will focus on electrician’s domain knowledge specialization and will be available online in September 2010.
The first initiative of the online program is to provide instruction to M.C. Dean’s Electrical Apprentices. Over time, more courses will be available to electrical engineers, technicians, and other technical and administrative staff. In the future, students will be able to access all Internet-based courses through distance learning ~ effectively bringing the classroom to you, wherever you may be.
